Privacy policy
Last updated: 1 November 2026
BUCOF Pty Ltd (ABN 80 688 646 406) (“BUCOF”, “we”, “us” or “our”) makes BUCOF Capture, delivery certification software for civil construction. This policy explains how we collect, use, share and protect personal information through this website, and how you can access it, correct it or make a complaint.
We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
1. What this policy covers
This policy applies to this website and to the demo requests and emails you send us through it. It doesn’t cover the BUCOF Capture app, which our customers use under their agreement with us, or other websites we link to.
2. The information we collect
When you request a demo. Our demo form asks for your full name, work email, company, role and phone number. You can also tell us about your projects or sites and add a message.
When you email us. We receive your email address, your message and anything you attach.
When you visit. Like most websites, ours is served by a hosting provider that automatically records technical details of each visit, such as your IP address, your browser and device type, the page you asked for and the time. We use these records only to keep the website running and secure.
We don’t ask for sensitive information, such as health information, and we ask you not to send it to us.
3. How we use it
We use your information to:
- reply to your demo request, then arrange and run your demo
- shape the demo around your role and your projects
- answer your questions and follow up on your request
- keep this website running, fix problems and protect it from misuse
- meet our legal obligations.
We don’t sell or rent personal information, and we don’t use it for advertising. We won’t add you to a mailing list unless you ask us to.
4. Cookies and analytics
This website doesn’t use cookies, analytics or advertising tools, and it doesn’t track you across other websites.
So that it loads faster next time, the website saves copies of some of its own files in your browser. These copies don’t identify you, and you can clear them at any time in your browser’s settings.
5. Who we share it with
We share personal information only with the service providers who help us run this website and reply to you, and only as much as each one needs:
- Amazon Web Services (AWS) hosts this website.
- FormSubmit (formsubmit.co) delivers each demo request to our team by email. It keeps a copy for up to 30 days, then deletes it.
- Our email provider stores the emails we send and receive.
We may also disclose personal information when the law requires or allows it, for example to a court or a regulator, or when it’s needed to protect someone’s safety or our legal rights. If our business is sold or restructured, personal information may pass to the new owner, who must handle it in line with this policy.
6. Information held outside Australia
Some of these providers store or process information outside Australia. AWS runs data centres in Australia and other countries, and FormSubmit and our email provider may hold information overseas, so a demo request may be stored in another country. We take reasonable steps to make sure our providers protect personal information in a way that’s consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles.
7. How we store and protect it
- This website is served only over an encrypted connection (HTTPS).
- Demo requests and emails are kept in our team’s email accounts, and only the people who need them can see them.
- We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy, or as long as the law requires, then delete it or de-identify it.
- We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference and loss, and from unauthorised access, change or disclosure. No website or email service is completely secure, though.
- If a data breach is likely to cause you serious harm, we’ll tell you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner, in line with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.
8. Staying anonymous
You can browse this website without telling us who you are. To arrange a demo, though, we need your name and a way to reach you.
9. Accessing and correcting your information
You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it or delete it, by emailing remi@bucofproject.com. We may need to confirm who you are first. We’ll reply within 30 days, and there’s no charge for asking. If we can’t do what you ask, we’ll explain why in writing.
10. Complaints
If you think we’ve mishandled your personal information, email remi@bucofproject.com with the details. We’ll look into it and reply within 30 days.
If you’re not satisfied with our reply, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy, for example when our services or the law change. We’ll publish the new version on this page with a new date at the top.
